Tucson meteorologist Jaclyn Selesky made several headlines after her fiance Jake Hermes requested funds on Go Fund Me website.
Go Fund Me is an American for-profit crowdfunding platform that allows people to raise money for events for mishaps. As of August 2022, it has raised $48,444 with the global aim to raise $75,000 from 477 donors.
Jaclyn Selesky is a meteorologist from Tucson, Arizona, serving as a weather forecaster for KOLD News 13 since November 2018. She worked for KNDU/KNDO-TV as the weather forecaster, weekend anchor, and producer.
Before joining KOLD News, she interned for numerous news agencies, including Comcast, Chicago Foodseum, The Columbia Chronicle, NBC News, and CBS News.
According to her Linkedin profile, she received her degree from Mississippi State Univesity in Broadcast and Operational Meteorology.
The metrologists hold a double degree, Jaclyn received her first Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida State University in Communication and Media Studies and another from Columbia College Chicago.
Born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Jaclyn worked in the Tri-Cities, Washington as an anchor, reporter, and primary fill-in on the weather wall before moving to Tucson.
Jaclyn Selesky Accident and Injury Update
Per the GoFund Me details, Jaclyn Selesky was bitten by the dog while she leaned over to kiss our dog, Henry.
Sharing the blurred picture of the meteorologist after the accident, her fiance, Jake Hermes, has requested funds via money-raising websites.
In the accident description, Jake said she was bitten on the upper part of her right lip and the lower part of her cheek. The next 24 hours were a blur and were the most stressful and scary of our lives.
As of August 23, 2022, two surgeries were performed. Both of her surgeries went well, and she is resting at home. Jackie is healing from her most recent procedure and will be heading back to the Mayo Clinic.
In the upcoming days, the meteorologist has to endure at least three more surgeries to repair her upper lip and lower cheek area.

Due to the accident, her face needs surgery and thus, Jake is raising funds to carry out the surgery.
