Trevor Bayne was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2013 and but before diagnosis, he was unable to perform well due to the symptoms he was facing like numbness, blurred vision, nausea, and fatigue.
Trevor was unaware of the disease, and due to the symptoms, he was facing he repeatedly visited the Mayo Clinic during the past two years from 2011 to know what was making him sick. But doctors were unable to diagnose the disease.
Bayne's illness started to show the symptoms for the first time when he felt numbness in his arm during a race at Texas in 2011 which was just six weeks after his Daytona 500 victory.
But Trevor thought that it was due to an insect bite on his elbow that was making him feel numb in the arm and didn't take it seriously. But the matter got worse when he was having nausea, fatigue, and double vision.
Due to the symptoms, he got admitted to the Mayo Clinic, and the doctors diagnosed it as Lyme disease, but he went for checkups in the clinic, and in June of 2013, doctors came with a diagnosis of Multiple sclerosis.

Trevor Bayne didn't quit racing but took some time off from racing as he was more focused on his coffee shop business in Nashville. Trevor didn't stop racing even after he was diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis.
Trevor has the aim of competing at the highest level and winning races and championships. So, taking consideration of the symptoms, he continued racing along with taking care of his body.
But after his 2020 NASCAR participation, he didn't participate in NASCAR and is now trying to regain his glory through the upcoming NASCAR series.
